About Mara

Hi, I’m Mara. I tailor balloons.

I’m a balloon artist and educator, and the founder of Mara Balloons and Yo Couture. For [X] years I’ve been turning balloons into sculpture — gowns, flowers and whole rooms — for weddings, celebrations and brands.

Every piece starts with the same question: what should this room feel like when the doors open?

My story

From one balloon to a whole language

It started with [cuenta aquí la primera pieza: para quién, dónde, en qué año]. I didn’t know yet that balloons could hold a shape like fabric does — but I wanted to find out.

Since then I’ve built [arches, gowns and full installations] for [weddings, quinceañeras, brands and photo shoots], and I’ve learned that the difference between décor and design is in the details nobody notices until they’re missing.

Today I split my time between the studio and the classroom: designing for clients, and teaching other artists the techniques that took me years to get right.

A balloon is just air until someone decides what it should become.

How I work

From idea to the big day

Four steps, the same for a single bouquet or a full wedding.

  1. 01

    Listen

You tell me the date, the venue, the people and how you want the room to feel.

  2. 02

    Design

I sketch the pieces and choose the palette for your space and your photographs.

  3. 03

    Build

Every structure is made by hand and [installed on site, ready before you arrive].

  4. 04

    Celebrate

You enjoy the day. [I take care of the pickup when it’s over.]

Let’s create something

Tell us about your celebration

Send us the date, the venue and a photo of the space. We’ll come back with ideas and a quote.
